Labis Krikigiannis was born in Athens and grew up in a silversmith's family where he learned the art of silverware.
Having a love for painting and sculpture in his early years he made various small projects experimenting with simple materials (pumice stone, gypsum, cotton etc.).

As a natural consequence of this youthful need for expression, micro sculpture helped him in his journey to jewellery, initially working for several years in stone-setting and later in jewelery design and manufacture.

The drawings and forms he creates are inspired by his experiential connection to Greek nature, tradition and culture but also by his inner need to express himself outside a specific context, the tangible everyday life experienced by the body and the senses in space and time.

As he says, "If I had to describe my work, I would say that it claims a place in "casual luxury" trying to turn the spiritual world into material and vice versa".
